The Longwood Community Center will be closed August 12 through August 26 for building maintenance and cleaning. Thus, library services provided by MCPL Express @ Olney will be unavailable during that two-week period. The book return, the hold-pickup lockers, the DVD Media Box, and the Book Lending Library will all be unavailable.
We will temporarily stop accepting holds with a pickup location of OLN_LOCKER beginning Monday, July 30, and will resume taking holds with that pickup location on Monday, August 27.
Residents whose holds cannot be placed in the hold lockers for pick-up by August 11 will receive a special email the week of August 6 with information about the option to redirect their holds to other branches.
For those residents who decide to keep OLN_LOCKER as their pickup location during the temporary closure, we will resume filling hold lockers on August 27, with the first email notices going out on August 28. Because of the two-week building closure, individuals waiting for holds at the OLN_LOCKER location may not receive a notice until September that items are available for pickup.
