Department of General Services
(240) 777 - 6123
This project provides for planning and design of a new 32,844 gross square foot 3rd District Police Station to serve Silver Spring and vicinity. The district station will consist of two floors and surface parking. The first floor will house the public access area, operations, patrol and patrol support functions, and a small prisoner holding area. The second floor will house investigative units, staff support and administration. The district station will be in operation 24-hours, 7-days per week and will provide support for the patrol beat teams. It will be the command center for the satellite facilities within the police district. A public meeting room will be available to facilitate outreach with the 3rd District's community.Funding
This project is currently in the design stage.
Mandatory Referral was submitted to M-NCPPC on September 28, 2009. M-NCPPC has issued several rounds of comments. All comments have been responded and incorporated into the submitted documents. M-NCPPC has accepted the submission as complete on December 30, 2009.
