Project Description: The Germantown Transit Center Improvements project provides a new facility of approximately 180 gross square feet of space to support the requirements of Ride On bus operators. The facility will provide two unisex restrooms, each equipped with one toilet and one sink. One of the restrooms will be fully handicapped accessible. This facility will be housed in a structure in proximity to Ride On Bus Bay area along Aircraft Rd in Germantown. The facility will be well ventilated year-round, and heated in winter. All aspects of design and construction must meet applicable codes with the goal to create minimal maintenance.
Funding: Project Status: December 2012
Bids for construction have been received and evaluated. The construction Contract has been awarded to CDCI, Inc. Tentative agreement has been reached with WSSC for encroachment of their Right-Of-Way. The agreement is being formalized. Construction is expected to begin in December of 2012. |
