The Custody and Security program is responsible for facility security, internal order, and discipline at Montgomery County Detention Center safe environment is accomplished by direct supervision of inmates and by conducting security and perimeter patrols and inspections.

Uniformed staff supervise sanitation, inmate meals, inmate movement, visits, cell searches, security inspections, preparation of inmates for transport by the Sheriff's Office, and emergency preparedness programs.
