Background information

  • Privately-owned sites at Shady Grove Road and Crabbs Branch Way, split by I-370
  • Zoned for I-3 (Industrial), with option for 340 residential units.
  • Potential for County to transfer residential density to current Crabbs Branch sites thus increasing the County's potential sale value by $16 million.
  • The County plans to acquire 30 acres to be used for the Equipment and Maintenance Operations Center (EMOC), highway maintenance and day labor center.
