Wheaton Wants to Know!
Montgomery County plans to rebuild the Wheaton Library & the Recreation Center on the current site and include the Gilchrist Center for Cultural Diversity as well. The County’s Design Team is interested in the Wheaton Community’s input on the new Library, Recreation, and Gilchrist Center. Two public meetings have been planned.

  • June 5, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Wheaton Library in Meeting Room 100. This first meeting will be a workshop where all in attendance will be discussing their visions, goals, challenges and concerns for the new development and the site.
  • June 24, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Wheaton Library in Meeting Room 100. During this meeting the design team will present concepts from the 1st meeting and will continue the dialog to further develop the building and site design ideas and options.
An Electronic Survey is also available. Ideas from this survey will be incorporated into the presentation on June 24th.
