Outdoors Camps

Ages 9 - 13: Explore the wonders of nature in this exciting, adventure-based camp. Campers will learn about wildlife and outdoor skills by exploring creeks, forests and lakes. Outdoor adventures include hiking, canoeing and swimming at a MCRD pool (twice a week). Campers will also participate in exciting games, team building activities, crafts, and daily nature exploration. We will practice the outdoor skills we have learned with a cook each session! The first three sessions will also have a field trip each week. Afternoon Extended Camp is available for Explorer Campers for an additional fee. Camps will not meet on Thursday, July 4th.

Ages 9 - 13: Relax and cool down after a long day of fun with afternoon extended camp. Campers can participate in games, crafts or downtime with their friends. Campers must bring a snack for Extended Camp.

Ages 9-13: Animal tracking, plant identification and wilderness skills will fill our days as we explore beautiful Lake Needwood. Campers will become skilled nature observers as they play nature-related games, hike, explore and craft. We will practice our acquired wilderness skills by having a family cookout during the first three sessions. Campers swim at an MCRD pool twice per week and have a field trip the first three sessions. Camps will not meet on Thursday, July 4th. Please note Extended Camp is not offered at Hidden Springs.

Ages 9-13: Ever wonder how to identify a great blue heron flying in the sky or how to track a white tailed deer through the woods? In this exciting outdoor adventure camp, campers will learn the answer to these questions and more! Based out of Seneca Creek, this camp is packed full with daily activities including hiking, canoeing, onsite swimming, arts and crafts, nature games and more! We will focus our exploring on wilderness skills and nature identification and put our skills to the test with a camping overnight experience (first three sessions only). Each camper must bring a bag lunch. Afternoon Extended camp is available on site for an additional fee. Please note that session four does not offer an overnight or canoeing. Camps will not meet on Thursday, July 4th.
