The Compactors

Front end loaders on the tipping floor, push refuse down a chute that leads to the compactors. The waste is densified in the compactor. Then burnable waste is then pushed into 40' intermodal containers. Nonburnable waste such as dirt, rocks, stumps and rubble is loaded into trucks and then transported to either Montgomery County's landfill or a rubble recycling facility. The intermodal containers are then driven to the railyard for shipment.
