TRRAC: Materials You Must Recycle

Mixed paper

  • Cardboard
  • Newspaper / Inserts
  • Magazines
  • Unwanted mail
  • Cereal boxes (remove liner)
  • Hardcover books
  • Paperback books
  • Telephone books
  • Computer and office paper
  • Shredded paper
  • All other clean dry paper

Commingled Materials

  • Plastic bottles, containers, jars, tubs, lids, pails, buckets and flower pots
  • Glass bottles and jars
  • Bi-metal (Steel/Tin) cans
  • Aluminum cans and foil products

Yard Trim

  • Grass
  • Leaves
  • Garden trimmings
  • Brush

Scrap Metal (all metal and predominantly metal items)

Christmas Trees

Please remove all lights, garland and ornaments prior to recycling.

If you don't know if your property is recycling or what recycling services are provided to you, call your property management office.

Note for Property Managers:

On-site recycling services must be provided to residents for these materials. If you need assistance, contact TRRAC staff.

Why Recycle?

It's the law in Montgomery County. Recycling contributes to a cleaner and healthier environment, conserves energy, saves precious natural resources, and reduces the amount of solid waste sent to disposal facilities.
