"Wind Tubes" Workshop Concludes Summer Reading Events at Silver Spring Library

Pre-schoolers and kindergarten students will have the opportunity to create, test and fly their own custom-built wind chambers at a “Wind Tubes” workshop on Saturday, August 10 at the Silver Spring Library, beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the meeting room. The library is located at 8901 Colesville Rd.

The program, presented by FutureMakers, will feature basic principles of aerodynamics air flow and mass. Participants will have a “flying sculpture” to take home at the end of the workshop.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Photographs will be taken during the workshop; parents have the option not to have their child included in the photographs.

The workshop is sponsored by Friends of the Library, Silver Spring Chapter and Montgomery County Public Libraries.
